Location
Tigh-Na-Struith (Gaelic for 'house beside running water') sits above the banks of the River Fillan, in its own grounds of roughly four acres.
It is approached via 150 yards of driveway from the A82. This is the main road north from Glasgow, which passes alongside Loch Lomond leading to Oban, Fort William and the mountains beyond.
To find our house, follow the road signs to Oban and Fort William - the entry to our driveway is located on the right-hand side, on the outskirts of Crianlarich.

The Riverside Guest House is on the outskirts of a small village called Crianlarich, famous in days gone by as a junction for three railway lines. These days there are only two lines, one
to Oban and one to Fort William. Both lines pass through superb scenery and a trip to either is thoroughly recommended.
Distances from Crianlarich to major towns or places are probably best measured in a time context, rather than distance, as follows:
Distances from Crianlarich
| TIME BY CAR | DESTINATION |
| 1 hour | Glasgow (via Loch Lomond) |
| 1 hour | Stirling (Wallace Monument, Stirling Castle) |
| 1 hour | Oban (and the West Coast) |
| 1 hour | Pitlochry (via Loch Tay, Taymouth Castle, Aberfeldy) |
| 1 1/2 hours | Perth (via Loch Earn, Crieff) |
| 1 1/2 hours |
Fort William (via Glencoe) |
| 3 hours | Stranraer (via Glasgow) |
Whichever route is chosen, the roads in this area are exceptionally well maintained and apart from the weekends during the high season (May to August) they are usually quiet. Consequently, driving can be considered to be a pleasure.
